Bryce, Zion & North Rim
Day 8 - Fredonia, AZ to
Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, UT

Rock
An interesting pattern in the rock.
We crossed back into Utah at Kanab where we bought groceries.

We continued North on US 89 to Hancock Road. It was so nice to get off the highway.

Thunderstorms were raging all around us. We finally got caught in one. We had about 5 minutes of pea sized hail and it was over.

We gained elevation most of the day. At the end of Hancock Road, we turned onto Sand Dunes Road to the park.

The Coral Pink Sand Dunes
The Coral Pink Sand Dunes are composed of red sand eroded from nearby Navajo Sandstone cliffs. They are very beautiful. I spent about an hour and half walking around and taking photos.

The campground here is the best so far this trip. However, it's full of ATV'ers here to ride on the dunes.

I'm falling in love with this desert. It's so peaceful and beautiful.
